PiNG had already begun its exploration of the issues raised by the “anthropocene” during action -r esearch residencies organised from January to June 2015 at Nantes venue Le Lieu Unique under the “0.CAMP” banner.

From this context, It has become evident to us that if we want to live resiliently in the era of the anthropocene, it is more imperative than ever to understand the symbiotic relationships that exist between humans, plants, and animals, not only in the thin atmospheric layer that surrounds our planet, but also in the oceans. Our interest in the topic continues: the 0.CAMP project is reborn in 2016 as 1.CAMP.

This wiki website 'resources' invites you to discover the different steps of this collective exploration. The approach to this project was to mix stories, scientific stories, political stories, history of art, stories of social struggles and ecologies, science fiction … different ways to compose knowledge, spread of reflexions and share experimentations.

You can discover 1CAMP in several bricks of activities.

Ocean ecosystems are threatened by global warming and acidification. The first victims are the cnidaria, such as corals and sea anemones, which subsist on photosynthesizing micro-algae within their tissues. Endosymbiosis—mutual and beneficial cooperation between fauna and flor a is an important inspiration for artists, anthropologists and philosophers.

Thus we have decided to organize a large residency at Roscoff marine station , an historial lab for research and training on marine biology. This creative residency was led byXavier Bailly, researcher in marine symbiosis and coordinator of the ressource center of the station. This season’s selected artists work in the broad field of “BioArt” or “EcoArt”, and have already participated in the 2015 research program. Their selection offers them the opportunity to broaden their research and participate in public activities organised by PiNG. 1.CAMP’s invited artists are Carole Thibaud, Spela Petric, Robertina Sebjanic and Ewen Chardronnet .

Each meeting will provide an opportunity to exchange views following the presentation of a documentary, text, or podcast, with the aim of opening up new paths leading to the understanding of our relationship with nature and our transitional society, then document the activity through the production of fanzines, murals, and other works. This session was a good theorical practice preparing the Grand T' s event. A lexicon and a directory have been produced and indexed on this wiki.

In fact, a workshop to create a graphical and dynamic search interface was organized from the work of Laurent Malys, realized by Julien Paris, member of PiNG. The objective is to imagine a replicable version of this collaborative library system: research workshop here and LIBVIZ prototype here.
